Additional Statements You May Need for Your Course

  1. Testing Accommodations:  Make-up Tests and/or Tests for Distance Learners. Testing Center hours are located at www.cf.edu/testing. Your instructor is required to make advanced preparations before you schedule your exam, so contact your instructor at least two weeks in advance regarding testing accommodations.

  2. Register for all testing by creating a CF username and password for the testing center. This can be done at home or at the testing center; the link is www.cf.edu/mytests . This is required to take any tests and only needs to be created once. The username and password created will be used for all tests taken at any of the CF campus testing centers.

  3. The Ocala Testing Center is a walk-in center, no appointments needed. The Ocala Testing Center is located on the second floor of the Student Bryant Union in Room 205.

  4. For the Citrus Campus Testing Center, call 352-249-1213 for an appointment. The Citrus Campus Testing Center is located in C4-109.

  5. For the Levy Center Testing Center, call 352-493-9533, ext. 2113, for an appointment. Stop at the front desk for further directions.

  6. This course uses Canvas to post course materials. Go to https://mycf.cf.edu/ICS/, login, click on the Academics tab, and follow the link to Go to Canvas. If you are not familiar with Canvas, you may access a self-tutorial by hovering over the Courses tab in Canvas and clicking on the Getting Started in Canvas course. Additional Canvas tutorials can be found under the help menu in the upper-right corner of your Canvas page. If you have any questions or encounter any problems logging on to Canvas or within the system, contact the Distance Learning Help Desk Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (fall and spring hours), or Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. (summer hours), at dlhelp@cf.edu or at 352-854-2322, ext. 1317. You may also use the 24/7 Canvas help desk by clicking the Help link in the upper right corner of Canvas.

  7. (If you require proctored assessments in your online or hybrid course, you must include this statement according to SACSCOC Verification of Identity standard): In order to verify student identity on assessments this course requires ___ [insert number of required proctored assessments] proctored assessment(s). If you are unable to travel to a CF campus during testing center hours, you may be required to pay a fee to complete the assessment(s). Fees generally range between $30 and $45 per assessment, depending on the proctor used and length of the exam. If you choose to complete the assessment using an online proctoring service, you will also be required to have a webcam and microphone. For assistance with scheduling a proctored exam at a CF testing center or to help you locate another testing center, please call 352-291-4419. For assistance with online proctoring after you have contacted your instructor, please contact E-Learning at 352-854-2322 ext. 1317 at least two weeks prior to your requested test date.

  8. For virtual or online office hours, list the days and times, along with in-person office hours. Include this statement for online courses): Please allow 24 hours for a response Monday morning through Friday afternoon and up to 48 hours for a response Friday evening through Sunday evening. Scheduled holidays may extend the response time.
